U.S. Congressman Pat Tiberi (R-OH) today announced the U.S. Department of Education awarded Student Support Services grants to two colleges in the 12th Congressional District. The grants are awarded to help schools increase college retention and graduation rates.

"Zane State College and North Central State College provide opportunities for students to earn a two-year degree or technical certification in a community setting," said Congressman Tiberi. "I anticipate these significant grants will help more students receive the instruction they need to succeed."

Zane State College in Zanesville was awarded a $220,000 grant that will be available for five years to provide specialized services for eligible students.

North Central State College in Mansfield was awarded a $220,000 grant that will be available for five years. The grant will help provide academic tutoring, academic advising, financial aid counseling, financial and economic literacy, and transfer assistance.
